Obsessed // Obsessed: The Chambray Shirt
If there is one wardrobe essential that a girl doesn’t want to be caught without, it would be a chambray shirt. It’s a season-less staple that gives any outfit that feeling of effortless laid back cool. It’s so versatile, it’s almost fool-proof. It can be throw over almost anything to get a pulled-together look. I can’t think of an item in my wardrobe I’ve gotten more wear out of the past year and continue to love: that’s why we are totally obsessed with the quintessential chambray shirt. Basically, almost any store in a mall can offer you a chambray shirt, but my recommendations for finding a great quality chambray shirt are Madewell or J. Crew. So how does one pull-off the chambray shirt? The possibilities are almost endless.
However, most of my favorite styles incorporate using the chambray shirt as cardigan alternative over your favorite sundress (make it last farther into the cool fall weather!) or over a maxi skirt. You can always stick the casual day look by wearing it as your top with a bright pair of shorts or a high-waisted skirt. Chambray can make you instantly look chic and city by wearing with dark skinnies and black heels. For a more beachy feel, you can pair with stripes and neutrals. The great thing about the chambray shirt is its ability to make an outfit of any style look put-together.
