Style // Mademoiselle C Goes Behind the Scenes of the Creation of Carine Roitfeld’s New Magazine, CR Fashion Book
If you’re a big fashion buff you probably keep tabs on any and everything going on in the fashion world via magazines, blogs and runway shows, but nothing is better than firsthand insider news. In the last few years, it has almost become a trend for the fashion industry, whether designers or magazines, to give its audience exclusive backstage behind-the-scenes looks into their lives. Sure, we have movies like The Devil Wears Prada that are based off of what the fashion world is like, but because it comes with the Hollywood spin, nothing beats the real thing.
The most memorable and recent behind-the-scenes documentaries include the September Issue (2009) and Valentino: The Last Emperor (2008). When the September Issue came out, fashion aficionados rushed to see exactly what goes into making the largest Vogue issue of the year, otherwise known as the fashion bible, and what it took to be the famed Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour. And we have no doubt that this will be the case at the premiere of Mademoiselle C.
French beauty Carine Roitfeld, both a former fashion model and Editor-in-Chief of Paris Vogue, joins the ranks of fashion celebrities to give a tell-all chronicling the launch of the first issue of CR Fashion Book. CR Fashion Book will be Roitfeld’s first big project since stepping down from her decade long stint at Paris Vogue.
Aside from expecting to see fast-paced scenes from in and outside of the boardroom as the magazine comes together, audiences can expect to see interviews given by fellow fashion celebrities that include Tom Ford, Donatella Versace and Karl Lagerfeld.
Though the release date has yet to be announced, Mademoiselle C is sure to be much anticipated by fashion enthusiasts of all kinds. If you enjoyed the September Issue then there should be no doubt that you will enjoy the upcoming documentary soon on the woman many people consider to be Anna Wintour’s French counterpart.
