Liz Hidalgo is taking over the big apple, one fashion savvy blog post at a time. Her blog, Liz Avenue, is what Hidalgo describes as her own “creative outlet.” Every post features a look she put together on her own, each more fashionable than the last. With outfit inspiration, stories behind the outfits, and even the occasional DIY, every fashionista can learn something from Hidalgo and her wonderful blog. The blogger took time with CocoKouture this week to answer a few questions about herself and Liz Avenue.
CocoKouture: When did your start your blog and why?

Liz Hidalgo: I started Liz Avenue a little over a year ago as a creative outlet for myself. I’ve always been fascinated by many fashion bloggers, that I wanted to be a part of this inspiring community and share my own ideas. My blog is also my online visual scrapbook for looks I put together, my travels and the occasional DIYs.
CK: Where do you draw your inspiration?
LH: I draw my inspiration from a multitude of things, particularly the stylish women of New York. Whether I’m above ground or on the subway, I always see fashionable women (and men!) rocking their unique style and I feel fortunate to be immersed in so much diversity.
CK: What are your favorite styles this season?
LH: It would be peplums and graphic print pants. I have these pair of pants from J.Crew that I’m very excited to wear!
CK: What are your plans for the future?
LH: I plan on acquiring my master’s degree, getting my feet wet in the industry and eventually become a stylist.
CK: What advice would you give up and coming fashionistas?
LH: This one’s from Michael Kors and I completely agree with it, “Keep it simple, keep it comfortable and stay consistent.”
