Blog Spotter // Blog Spotter: Lil’ Bits of Chic

The success of a young lady from San Diego, California and her blog is anything but “lil’.” Lil’ Bits of Chic was started by Paulina Mo, a graduate of the University of California, as an outlet for everything fashionable and chic. She comes from a background of fashion and art so it’s only appropriate that she share her experiences and passion with the rest of the world! Paulina got together with CocoKouture to offer a “lil’ bit” of her fashion insight.

CocoKouture: What made you decide to start your own fashion blog?
Paulina Mo: After many years in the 9 to 5 working with numbers and not putting my creativity to use, I decided to start my blog www.lilbitsofchic.com as a creative outlet where I shared my paintings, my photography, etc. I had always loved fashion and admired other fashion blogs, but initially I didn’t think I was going to be a fashion blogger because I was too shy. As I started blogging about my other passions, slowly but surely my love for fashion took over and I started becoming more comfortable with putting myself out there. Now, I’m happy that I have evolved into a fashion/style blogger.

CK: Who is your fashion inspiration?
PM: My fashion inspiration growing up has been my mom and my sister. They always knew what was fresh and have a good eye for styling. Even to this day I’m always going into their closets and seeking their approval on outfits.

I always look back to the classics for sophisticate inspiration like Coco Chanel, Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly, and Jackie O’. Presently I’m finding inspiration from Victoria Beckham, Lauren Conrad, and of course my fellow bloggers.

CK:  What is a fashion/beauty must-have that your followers should know for the fall season?
PM: As we go into fall, one of my must haves has to be a (faux) leather item of clothing (vest/ jacket/ skirt/ shorts) because it can edge up or make an outfit casual in a cool way.
