Designer Erin Kleinberg and stylist Stephanie Mark founded this blog that gives you an exclusive tour inside the heart and soul of the stylishly influential—by way of their closets. Founded in January 2011, The Coveteur was inspired by the film, The Social Network. After seeing the film, the Canadian duo was particularly motivated by the idea that in this day and age of the internet and technology, everyone is a voyeur. They founded The Coveteur on the idea of deconstructing the craze of the street style blog and taking it one step farther to the place where all style begins—the closet.

Along with photographer Jake Rosenberg, the blog delves into a unique perspective of the fashionable elite—there is something particularly intimate and sincere to be seen about one’s personality through their closets. Their posts include photos with a particular still-life quality: inanimate fashion objects creatively styled to portray the personality of each owner. Every portrait is accompanied by a short anecdote from its owner—a small explanation of the piece’s significance.
