Fashion // Runway Review: Monique Lhuillier Spring 2013 RTW
Monique Lhuillier made the sea come to us with her Spring 2013 RTW collection, inspired by nature. We felt like we were on a beautiful ocean being swept off our feet.

The collection included mainly gowns, which included prints of fish scales, cranes and koi. In contrast to the primary colors that dominated Lhuillier’s Spring 2012 RTW collection and her Resort 2013 line, this line included plenty of aquas and blues, splashed with metallic hues and white details. Models’ beauty looks complemented the theme with slicked-back hair and blue eyeshadow.

Peplums were used on many of the tops in this collection and created a fishtail look. Instead of lots of layers, Lhuillier focused on slim-fitting and flattering looks. One of our favorites was a gorgeous blue gown with a sheer overlay.
Aside from the gowns, we couldn’t get over the amazing footwear. Those strappy heels in cerulean hues were to die for!
