Fashion // Runway Review: Elie Saab Fall 2012 Couture

By

Elie Saab’sFall 2012 Couture can be labeled as one of the most beautiful shows to date. The collection, “Constantinople’s Wake” consisted of evening gowns and cocktail dresses all inspired by the Byzantine Empire.

The garments beautifully made with crystals, sequins, and luxurious golden silk jacquards, Chantilly laces, and mosaic inspired printed georgettes. Saab shied away from his usually muddy color palette and opted to use softer hues of blues, pinks, and black.

The glitzy black garments were stunning, but the blue, pink, and cream-colored gowns were the stars of this elegant and ethereal show. Saab did an amazing job creating this collection, of gorgeous gowns that define haute couture in our opinion!
