The Row and TOMS are teaming up to produce a highly anticipated fashion collaboration. The Row is the luxury line created by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. TOMS is the lightweight shoe company that places a tremendous emphasis on philanthropy.
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s The Row began in 2007 and offers its retailers a selection of apparel and accessories. The brand was inspired to create the ultimate luxe t-shirt. Deriving its name from the legendary Savile Row in London, The Row places an important emphasis on tailoring. The Row’s mission is to bring traditional tailoring to modern day classics.
TOMS specializes in creating versatile designs derived from the Argentine alpargata which is popular material used in creating their signature shoes. The founder, Blake Mycoskie, created TOMS with a philanthropic mission in mind: to provide a person in need with a pair of shoes each time a pair of shoes is sold. This endearing mission is called One for One.
So what can we expect from such an exciting collaboration? Their Fall 2011 shoe collaboration will offer the best of both brands. It will feature the finest cashmere blends, Italian wools, and precise tailoring that The Row is known for yet it will be affordable much like TOMS with price points of $98 to $150. The collaboration’s products are also applicable to the One for One mission that TOMS has created.
