Krochet Kids International is a company striving to help create jobs for impoverished communities around the world by teaching them how to make a variety of products including hats and bowties using a hook and yarn technique.
Krochet Kids International has collaborated with Van’s for this special summer mini collection. This collection features two styles of Van’s most popular shoe, Bixie with the addition of crochet panels. The crochet detail is all hand-woven by artisans in Uganda, and every pair includes a hand-signed tag. With this signed tag, you can a profile on the artisan that created your shoes! The Bixie style comes in either stripes or floral designs. The body of the shoes are made with 100% natural hemp and canvas. They also include a removable and washable foot bed to help the shoes last as long as possible.
These shoes can be purchased online at Nordstrom and the profits from the sale of the shoes support the efforts of Krochet Kids. These shoes are fun and colorful for the end of summer!
