It is nearly July, which means (if you haven’t yet) it is time to dust off a sassy pair of shorts to welcome in the superbly warm weather. This season, patterned shorts are a must because they add a bit of flash to any warm weather outfit and there are a number of patterns, colors and styles to play around with. So here you are, in no particular order, 10 pairs of fabulously patterned shorts.
1. Florals – $26
In the words of Miranda Priestly, “Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking.” Well, maybe not, but florals are certainly an essential part of a springy or summery outfit. These shorts add the perfect amount of floral flavor without overdoing it. I think Ms. Priestly would be proud. Not to mention, they are on sale, and there is very little wrong with that.

2. Polka Dots – $44
Polka dots are a very nonchalant way of implementing a pattern into your wardrobe, especially when mixed with denim. These shorts are a great way to jazz up the classic denim short. And what do you know, these are on sale too.

3. H&M Conscious Collection
The new H&M Conscious Collection is absolutely fantastic, and these shorts are no exception. The pale pink color makes it easy to pair with a variety of tops and the pattern is eye-catching without being fussy.
4. Paisley Print – $39
These are rather fantastic, they are just begging for a crisp white blazer, an up-d0 and perhaps a pair of Jeffrey Campbell Lita’s. A bit reminiscent of the most recent Prada line, these shorts are rather chic for only $38.99.

5. Pajama Shorts – $48
Pajama shorts? Why not! I am a sucker for a pair of cheeky pajamas, and these do the trick splendidly. How adorable are the flowers and bow on these shorts? These provide a nice, stylist way to enjoy a golden slumber.

6. Lace Shorts
A little bit of lace embellishment in an outfit can be sassy and darling. These shorts are perfect for that effect, not only do they have lace, but they are pale pink with flowers. If that doesn’t spell romantic, I’m not sure what does.
7. J. Crew
J. Crew is one of the authorities in preppy clothing, and these shorts are adorably preppy. The apples on the shorts are perfect for summer and the colors are versatile enough to wear with a number of different tops. In fact, these shorts are called the Mini Delicious Apple shorts, which makes me want to wear them while eating an apple themed dessert on a picnic blanket.
8. Aztec Print – $33
These aztec print shorts are quite nice. The print is different and there are even pleats in the front, which are slimming. These even come with a belt, which is fantastic. I love a two-for-one deal.

These shorts are full of color and are perfect for spring and summer. Since they are so colorful, they would go well with a neutral colored short. Plus, these shorts have a fantastic high waist, which are perfect a slimming effect.

These shorts make me feel like I should be working at an ice cream shop, which is arguably the summeriest job of all. The colors are complimentary and, once again, these provide a high waist effect.
